More highlights in the city are the Parliament with the monument to the unknown soldier guarded by the young Evzones, the national gardens, the Anglican Church, Zappeion Hall, the temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian’s arch from the roman times, the fine marble stadium in which the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896.
